|Inheritance law is an essential science of Islam which clearly defines the distribution of a deceased person’s estate. Many books are written on this topic and among them SIRAJI is the most prominent, written by Shaykh Siraj al-Din al-Sajawandi al Hanafi Rahimahullah. It is a key reference text and essential part of Islamic traditional curriculum.
Due to the importance of this topic we have translated an abridged version into English so those students from English-speaking backgrounds may have access to this important and complex science. About the translator:
Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Abdul Wahid Tahir is a well-known Islamic scholar, author of several books (Hidaayah-Tul-Muslimeen, Sharah Al-Aqidah-At-Tahawia, and Islamic Inheritance Law), various articles on Islam, TV Talks and has delivered countless speeches and talks. He founded Tayyiba Institute (TIA) in 2003 with a vision to create a lasting institution of higher learning.
Currently, he is serving as the President of Tayyiba Institute Melbourne, Australia. He represents the Islamic faith in the area of South-East Melbourne’s Interfaith Network and is a frequent contributor of interfaith dialogue. He also oversees several charitable educational and health projects in Pakistan, established by his father; including a 70-bed charitable eye hospital.|| |
